The old Teir system for the fist game was scrapped, and all units were rebalanced accordingly. There is now also less complexity in the options players are given for base building and defense. Gameplay Hail to the King, baby Supreme Commander 2 preserves many of the key gameplay conceits of its predecessor, but with several key changes.

The player will play the single-player campaign through the eyes of three commanders who befriended each other during their academy days: In the new campaings you are able to see a more emotion driven plot, as each campaign has its own family ties a husband and wife, a father and son, a brother and sister. Supreme Commander 2 places the character directly in control of this war. The CDC members blame each other, and a galactic war ensues. Conversely, when attacking a base, aiming for mass converters can damage other structures near them.Overview Set 25 years after the events of the original game, Supreme Commander 2 begins with the assassination of the newly elected president of the Colonial Defense Coalition (CDC).

Beware when placing mass converters as they have a powerful and wide explosion when they are destroyed, capable of destroying other mass converters and potentially setting off a devastating chain reaction.

A stockpile may disappear quicker than expected when using multiple conversion structures.

Keep in mind that each Mass Convertor selected will use 2500Energy.

Press the corresponding hotkey number, followed by the respective 'Mass Conversion' keyboard shortcut.

Put several Mass Convertors into a hotkey group.

Use the Mass Convertor technology at this point to gain the most benefits. Later in the game, you may have a surplus of Energy and Research Points.The keyboard shortcut for Mass Conversion was Ctrl-M for Cybran, but no longer works due to a bug that caused Cybran players to crash in online games if they selected their energy generators and pressed Ctrl-M. The keyboard shortcut for Mass Conversion is Alt-M for UEF, Illuminate, and for the Cybran In order to convert Energy to Mass, you must manually select the Mass Convertor unit(s) and either click on the ability button, or use the keyboard shortcut.
